About Lauren

Hello! I'm Lauren. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Minnesota, and the founder of StarHaus Psychotherapy. I completed my undergraduate degree in social work at St. Olaf College, and received my master’s degree in clinical social work from New York University.

I love my work as a therapist! I use a diverse array of therapeutic modalities in my sessions with clients, with a special focus on helping clients incorporate symbol and ritual into everyday life. My work with clients also tends to involve lots of conversations about systems; I believe it is essential to this work that we explore the influence of culture, identity, and systems of oppression on overall wellbeing

I specialize in working with adults and adolescents who are interested in identity development, especially as it relates to queerness. I love assisting people in building a more positive, accurate, and fully realized sense of self.
